About 18 months ago, after living in Boston for over a decade, we decided to move our family to Needham, MA. Despite the fact it is just a few short miles away, the move was a bit overwhelming. New town, new school and new routines to get used to… not to mention living all together in one hotel room for a month while we were in between houses. And while everyone we met in our new town seemed really nice, it’s just not that easy being the new kid on the block.
Enter Alyssa and her family. Alyssa was one of the very first people I met at our new school and she immediately made me feel at home. Her whole family is kind, warm and down to earth. It’s no surprise that she and her husband are from the midwest (it’s true what they say you know). I will forever be thankful for the friendship and hospitality they offered us during those early months in our new community. We (and our children) are officially friends for life.
You can imagine how honored and excited I was when Alyssa asked me to capture some fun and beautiful portraits of her awesome family!
I photographed a lot of families with just girls last year so it was such a treat to be with a couple of handsome young men for a change. This image was one of my favorites from last fall. These two are only 18 months apart in age and this image captures their brotherhood so perfectly, big stick included!
It’s not a fall family session at the arboretum without playing in the leaves a little bit. thank you for being good sports mom & dad 🙂
Are you interested in capturing some fun and beautiful moments with your family this year?? My calendar is booking up for the summer. Please get in touch soon to book your date!
