Welcome to my blog!
Thank you for stopping by. Below you will find highlights and stories from my latest client work. I strive to make all of my sessions relaxing and fun and I pride myself on creating images that are joyful, genuine and beautiful.
I am an on-location portrait photographer living in Needham, Massachusetts. I am a wife and mom of three ( 12, 9, and 3) and I have been photographing families in the Greater Boston area since 2011!
Is there anything better than the glow that is ever-present on a new parent’s face the days, weeks and early months following the birth of a child? Is there anything better than walking into someone’s home and being embraced into the pure joy they’re experiencing? So many reasons to love be a newborn family photographer.read more
Halloween is one of the most fantastic, creative, and (if you ask my kids) exciting days of the year. When it comes to making Halloween costumes, my family gets its hands dirty. Some feel like artistic accomplishments, which is quite an achievement considering our busy life. But, we love it.read more
Don’t worry, this post isn’t filled with the standard cliches about “the days being long but the years are short.” However, when my oldest turned 13 and my youngest hit preschool the metal pan hit me *smack* on the head. Hard. The cliches – no matter how boring – are correct. Time is flying, and my kids are changing nonstop. So are yours.read more
I always encourage my clients not to overthink their family photo sessions. While we may take a few typical shots, the rest are intentionally casual, sweet, and fun. So don’t worry about looking too fancy or standing too perfectly. Just be you.read more
I *love* being a Boston newborn family photographer. I love it so much that I left a thriving corporate career (and its predictable salary) years ago to live a life fulfilled by my passion: using my training, skills and talent to capture images of babies, children, parents and families that go well beyond your standard pose-and-smile-then-point-and-click.read more

How gorgeous is this photo?
And, no, I’m not saying that to toot my own horn! I’m reacting to the facets of this image that are hopefully speaking to you, too. The joy on the children’s faces, their genuine smiles, their loving bond (evidenced in their holding hands), and the gorgeous scenery that we’re lucky to experience every October in the Boston area.read more
Can you feel it? The crisp air is arriving. I’m just looking back at my portfolio of this fantastic family because I have the pleasure of seeing them again very soon. These images remind me how perfect Fall is for a Boston Fall Photo Session. Not only is the light just right, but the ever-evolving foliage offers photographers (like me!) a different scene for every single family. No two days are alike.read more

In January, I launched a new portrait series called “A Mother’s Work” which features female entrepreneurs who are also mothers. The idea for this series quite literally came to me in a dream one night a few years ago and I’m so excited to finally be devoting energy to making this dream a reality in 2019. I have already spoken to so many wonderful inspiring women and look forward to those I will be meeting in the future. The positive feedback I have received about this project has been amazing and I can’t wait to share more!
One thing I did not expect when I started the series, however, wasread more
Back in October, I met up with this special family to capture an extended family photo session at the Arnold Arboretum. When I first talked to Mom, she expressed to me how important this family photography session was to them. The family had had lost both grandfathers within just two weeks of each other the year before. Needless to say; it had been a tough year for everyone. But, it also made them realize how important family time is. And, not only spending time together, but capturing and documenting those moments in photography. So, that’s why she really wanted to include the grandmothers in their family photography session.read more

Little Liam was born back in July and we had originally scheduled this session to take place in the fall, to capture him at three months old. But we ended up postponing the session several times almost all the way to Christmas due to family illness, a rash on Liam’s face, and other hurdles that set us back! I loved how it worked out because with little Liam being older, he was that much more expressive. There’s such an exceptional period of motor skill growth between three and five months. Babies start having the cutest expressions and making the cutest noises, and you start to see more smiles, more laughs, and more personality. Liam was right on the edge of learning to roll over, too!read more

I get to look back on all the wonderful memories I witnessed in the last 12 months and select my absolute favorite images of the year.
