Don’t worry, this post isn’t filled with the standard cliches about “the days being long but the years are short.” However, when my oldest turned 13 and my youngest hit preschool the metal pan hit me *smack* on the head. Hard. The cliches – no matter how boring – are correct. Time is flying, and my kids are changing nonstop. So are yours.

A Walk in the Park
I always encourage my clients not to overthink their family photo sessions. While we may take a few typical shots, the rest are intentionally casual, sweet, and fun. So don’t worry about looking too fancy or standing too perfectly. Just be you.
Your Family is Priceless
I *love* being a Boston newborn family photographer. I love it so much that I left a thriving corporate career (and its predictable salary) years ago to live a life fulfilled by my passion: using my training, skills and talent to capture images of babies, children, parents and families that go well beyond your standard pose-and-smile-then-point-and-click.
Have You Chosen Your Annual ‘Moment in Time’?
You’d never know it by the weather, but October is here — which means November (and December!) are right around the corner. I’m just going to say it: It’s time to think about your Boston Holiday Card Photos.
Welcome, Sweet Eloise | Roslindale Newborn Photographer
Pure Perfection. That’s how I felt when I left this photo session, my third time connecting with this fantastic family who just welcomed their second child, Eloise.
But What To Wear? Wardrobe Tips For Your October Boston Photo Session
How gorgeous is this photo?
And, no, I’m not saying that to toot my own horn! I’m reacting to the facets of this image that are hopefully speaking to you, too. The joy on the children’s faces, their genuine smiles, their loving bond (evidenced in their holding hands), and the gorgeous scenery that we’re lucky to experience every October in the Boston area.
Apples + Pumpkins + Donuts = Smiles Galore! | Boston Fall Photo Session
Can you feel it? The crisp air is arriving. I’m just looking back at my portfolio of this fantastic family because I have the pleasure of seeing them again very soon. These images remind me how perfect Fall is for a Boston Fall Photo Session. Not only is the light just right, but the ever-evolving foliage offers photographers (like me!) a different scene for every single family. No two days are alike.
It’s a BOY and another BOY!
The holiday season brings gifts in all shapes and sizes, but for this special family, they got an amazing gift. Not one, but TWO boys! I was so happy to meet up with their home just outside Boston, MA to capture their newborn session for their twin newborn boys.
Springtime Mother & Daughter Family Portraits | Boston Family Photographer
In the Spring of 2017, I got to photograph this wonderful mother and daughter in a gorgeous, flower filled photo session at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston, MA. I can’t believe it’s been six years already since the first time I met and photographed these two!
Extended Family Session – Needham Family Photography
Back in October, I met up with this special family to capture an extended family photo session at the Arnold Arboretum. When I first talked to Mom, she expressed to me how important this family photography session was to them. The family had had lost both grandfathers within just two weeks of each other the year before. Needless to say; it had been a tough year for everyone. But, it also made them realize how important family time is. And, not only spending time together, but capturing and documenting those moments in photography. So, that’s why she really wanted to include the grandmothers in their family photography session.
