The majority of my clients have babies or young children so it was a wonderful change of pace to photograph this amazing family of six ( plus pup makes seven!). I’m simply in awe of parents that have more than three kids! I know how hard it can be juggle everything and these guys make it look easy. About 18 months ago, after living in Boston for over a decade, we decided to move our family to Needham, MA. Despite the fact it is just a few short miles away, the move was a bit overwhelming. New town, new school and new routines to get used to… not to mention living all together in one hotel room for a month while we were in between houses. And while everyone we met in our new town seemed really nice, it’s just not that easy being the new kid on the block.
Enter Alyssa and her family. Alyssa was one of the very first people I met at our new school and she immediately made me feel at home. Her whole family is kind, warm and down to earth. It’s no surprise that (more…)

The day of this family session, the skies started out blue and sunny in the morning. But just as I was happily packing up my gear, the clouds turned suddenly dark and ominous.
