It was a hot and sunny evening in June when I met up with this family of four at the Arnold Arboretum in Roslindale. The last time I saw them was a full year ago at their home, just after second baby was born. It was so much fun to see them again and to see how much their girls have grown!

I love that this session was just mom and the girls. I love how much the big girls are in love their baby sister. I love how much personality baby sister has, at just one year old!

The day of this family session, the skies started out blue and sunny in the morning. But just as I was happily packing up my gear, the clouds turned suddenly dark and ominous. I have to admit, whenever I photograph sisters, I always get a little pang of jealousy that I don’t have a sister. Especially when it is girls like this, so close in age, with a bond so tight.
