It’s that time of year again… time to agonize over choosing my favorite images from a very fun and busy year. This year I get to pick 15 because it’s 2015 so at least that makes it a little easier, but like I’ve said before, these photos are like my babies. It is hard to choose some and leave others behind!!
Last year I gave a lot of background information for each image. This year I want the images themselves to do the talking.
I had the pleasure of photographing more newborns this year than any other. I thought this was particularly special because I had a newborn myself earlier this year. I feel like being a mom is such a huge component in the way I see the world and the way I photograph people, especially families. I want photographs to not just let you see what it’s like to be there, but also to feel what it’s like to be there. I hope you love looking through these as much as I do. Each and every one of these images is special to me.
And if 15 images just isn’t enough, feel free to click back to all the previous years “Best of” compilations!!
In October, this sweet dog named “Hootie” passed away after being with his family for 13 years. Mom emailed to tell me how grateful she was to have some family photos with their first baby. This image means so much to me, because it means so much to them. Photographs are truly one of the most special gifts you can give someone.
