The forecast did not look good the morning of this family’s photo session, but grandma was visiting from Canada and we really wanted to include her in the photos so we did not reschedule. At the last second, I told Mom, “Worst case scenario: bring the umbrellas!” And boy, am I glad I did.
Everything started out clear and we were lucky to have the gorgeous orange flowers blossoming in the background. I love how all these bright colors pop! We took a few minute for some posed family shots…

On your mark, get set… GO!! I love how the two on the left have their tongues sticking out.. Must be a twin thing 🙂
It wasn’t long before we started to feel raindrops and decided to pop open the umbrellas…. What a fun and vibrant element it added to these photos against the lush green backdrop at the arb.
Note to self: buy my three children adorable matching umbrellas!!
It never hurts to pack some capes along on your photo session, too. You never know when you’ll need a couple of superheroes to save the day.
So the next time the forecast calls for rain on the day of your photo session, consider not rescheduling… you might just get an adorable photo snuggling with your rain-soaked kids under an umbrella!!
