Welcome to my blog!
Thank you for stopping by. Below you will find highlights and stories from my latest client work. I strive to make all of my sessions relaxing and fun and I pride myself on creating images that are joyful, genuine and beautiful.
I am an on-location portrait photographer living in Needham, Massachusetts. I am a wife and mom of three ( 12, 9, and 3) and I have been photographing families in the Greater Boston area since 2011!
As summer is winding down, I am sorting through hundreds of images from last year and prepping for the busy season ahead. I realized I never blogged a few awesome families from last fall, including this one!!
This family is a long time client and they are some of my very favorite people to photograph! We were so lucky to have perfect foliage for their session, which also happened to celebrate their son Sammy’s first birthday.read more
It was a picture perfect summer evening when I met up with this family of four at the one of my very favorite locations in Boston — the Arnold Arboretum. I can always count on something blooming there and lucky for us, this family of four also happened to be wearing clothes that coordinated with the flowers! Have you ever seen a more beautiful foursome?! I had such a hard time narrowing favorites to share from this session!read more
It was hot and sunny the day I went to photograph this sweet family of three. I was there to document their baby boy turning one, and as I arrived I could see remnants from his birthday party the day before adorning the back deck.
The last time I was at this house, I was greeted at the door byread more
Lucky me, I got to photograph this beautiful family for the third time as they welcomed home their second baby, a sweet boy named Marco. I love their cozy home, which is full of big windows and amazing warm light. ( And it doesn’t hurt that they are super relaxed and just plain ol’ happy people )read more
Just over five years ago I officially opened my photography business. Since then, I have photographed hundreds of beautiful mamas and their children. I am so incredibly blessed to have been connected to these amazing women, many of whom, are now my friends. You should have seen me looking through these old photos, grinning from ear to ear and “Awwww”-ing at my computer screen. My, how some of these babies have grown!!read more
As far as the world can tell, Ezra Jack is the fourth child in this beautiful, warm and loving family.
But what is not apparent, is that he is technically the fifth baby in this family. Ezra is a “rainbow baby”read more
The last time I saw this beautiful family, they were a family of three! How much has changed in a year! Sweet Remy is still as adorable as ever, but he now has an equally cute baby brother. Oh, and he is madly in love with Minions. But, I mean really, who isn’t?read more
There is hardly anything more amazing in the world than being pregnant. Having experienced it three times myself, I also know there is hardly anything more uncomfortable, too. The aches and pains, the nausea, the constant NEED to PEE. The LACK of WINE.
Being pregnant is simultaneously the best of times and the worst of times.
It doesn’t seem possible when you’re in the midst of your pregnancy, but the memories of this time, both good and bad, do start to fade over time. After a while, you start to forget howread more
Thrilled does not even begin to describe how I felt when I had the opportunity to photograph this amazing mother daughter duo again. They are just so special together and it is such a treat to photograph their bond. Even better, they had just welcomed a new baby into their family.. appropriately named Sunshine.read more
The majority of my clients have babies or young children so it was a wonderful change of pace to photograph this amazing family of six ( plus pup makes seven!). I’m simply in awe of parents that have more than three kids! I know how hard it can be juggle everything and these guys make it look easy. It was obvious from the moment they stepped out of the car that they are such a fun family.read more
The last time I saw Lila, she was two months old…just a tiny baby in her proud parents’ arms. Her Mom & Dad had just become parents for the first time, and they were so head over heels in love with their new baby girl. I was so excited to see them all again because I love to see how much my clients grow and change. Lila is such a big girl now, still with the most beautiful blue eyes!! And her parents are old pros at this parenting thing, perfectly comfortable in their roles and embracing all the ups and downs of parenting with ease.read more
All kids have favorite things, whether it be a soft lovey, a hand knit blanket or a beloved toy truck. I always ask clients to bring along any of these special items to their photo session because I love to incorporate personal elements into the images I create. It makes the resulting photos so much more memorable and unique. Someday you will miss the days your child carried around that tattered old stuffed animal!read more
Singing has always been a big part of my life. When I was little, I loved to sing all the time. I can remember waiting for my favorite songs to come on the radio so I could record them onto a cassette tape. Then I would play them over and over again until I had the words memorized. I’m sure I drove my family crazy with my constant singing! Later on, in college, I sang in an all female a cappella group. I spent so much time with this group of girls that they became some of my closest friends… more like sisters. Many of my favorite memories from college areread more
Everybody knows how hard it is to become a parent for the first time, but I think it is equally difficult to transition from having just one child to having two children. I remember how overwhelmed my husband and I felt to suddenly both have our hands full all. the. time. And we longingly looked back at how easy we had it with just one!!read more
Don’t you love the word serendipity? It’s fun to say, but it’s also so fun when something happens you can say, “oh, it’s serendipity!”.
Last year, a friend referred this mom to me when she was looking for a family photographer. Coincidentally, I already knew two of her three children because I photographed them at one of the preschools where Iread more
It’s that time of year again… time to agonize over choosing my favorite images from a very fun and busy year. This year I get to pick 15 because it’s 2015 so at least that makes it a little easier, but like I’ve said before, these photos are like my babies. It is hard to choose some and leave others behind!!read more
When Dad inquired about having a photo session with his newborn son, he made a point of telling me that their home was small. He was concerned about whether there would be enough space to create beautiful photos. I told him not to worry — as long as he had a window in his house we would be OK. In fact, sometimes I feel it is easier to create stunning images in smaller spaces. There are less options for different settings, of course, but there are also less distractions and the focus is on what’s really important.read more
