Lucky me, I got to photograph this beautiful family for the third time as they welcomed home their second baby, a sweet boy named Marco. I love their cozy home, which is full of big windows and amazing warm light. ( And it doesn’t hurt that they are super relaxed and just plain ol’ happy people )
Of course, it’s not a family photo session without their charismatic dog Leelu. Just look at that face!!
It seems like just yesterday I was photographing little Nadya when she came home from the hospital. And when I photographed her two springs ago, she was just a toddler, unsteadily walking around the grass in the arboretum. Now all of the sudden, she’s a big girl. A big sister, in fact. And she’s doing a pretty great job of it.
Parents always take breaks at newborn sessions to feed and change their baby, and I love taking that opportunity to spend time with the older sibling(s). I happened to see a framed photo from Nadya’s newborn session and I couldn’t resist grabbing this shot. Love how serious she is.
Marco was just a week old, which is just the perfect age for capturing both sleeping and awake photos.
Marco is fortunate to have a couple sets of eyes watching over him… 🙂
Mom & Dad, with their new love.
Leelu was the original big sister and I could tell she was taking her job very seriously.
Momma & baby photos like this are my absolute favorite.
