Thrilled does not even begin to describe how I felt when I had the opportunity to photograph this amazing mother daughter duo again. They are just so special together and it is such a treat to photograph their bond. Even better, they had just welcomed a new baby into their family.. appropriately named Sunshine.
The majority of my clients have babies or young children so it was a wonderful change of pace to photograph this amazing family of six ( plus pup makes seven!). I’m simply in awe of parents that have more than three kids! I know how hard it can be juggle everything and these guys make it look easy. It was obvious from the moment they stepped out of the car that they are such a fun family.
The last time I saw Lila, she was two months old…just a tiny baby in her proud parents’ arms. Her Mom & Dad had just become parents for the first time, and they were so head over heels in love with their new baby girl. I was so excited to see them all again because I love to see how much my clients grow and change. Lila is such a big girl now, still with the most beautiful blue eyes!! And her parents are old pros at this parenting thing, perfectly comfortable in their roles and embracing all the ups and downs of parenting with ease.
All kids have favorite things, whether it be a soft lovey, a hand knit blanket or a beloved toy truck. I always ask clients to bring along any of these special items to their photo session because I love to incorporate personal elements into the images I create. It makes the resulting photos so much more memorable and unique. Someday you will miss the days your child carried around that tattered old stuffed animal!
