This past Sunday, I had a family session at Larz Anderson in Brookline, which is one of my absolute favorite places to shoot! The lines of the stone benches are so fun to work with and the gorgeous greenery makes for one heck of a beautiful backdrop.  I thought for sure my Monday Moment this week would somehow be incorporating all the wonderful details of the location. Last Friday I had the honor of photographing beautiful 10 day old Franklin ( “Frankie” ) and his family in their home in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.  And I was so lucky to spend an entire hour alone with just mom and her new baby before the rest of the family arrived.  These quiet moments are so rare in a house where a new baby lives and I cherish them so much. Last month I had a mini-session with a beautiful mom and her very sweet boys. The resulting photos were father’s day gifts for the men in their lives.

The weather cooperated, thank goodness, providing a break from three straight weeks of rain in Boston. And with a gorgeous backdrop of lush greenery we had a near perfect session. The only thing missing was the potty jokes. Oh wait, we had those too! Thanks to mom for providing the fodder for some seriously authentic smiles! (more…)

This summer, I am making time to create more of these awesome & unique family portraits. Wouldn’t you love an image like this hanging above your couch or mantle at home? (more…)
