Reminiscing about what it was like being pregnant with a baby or about the day a child was born is a conversation that happens time and time again in so many families. Maybe you’ve had it with your grandmother or your parents? I know I have. I was born on December 20th, which was actually a week past my expected due date. My mother loves to tell me howread more

I was so thrilled to hear to hear from Saachi’s parents that they were welcoming another baby. The family had relocated to Needham from San Francisco just over a year ago when I met them for our first photo session. Saachi was just about a year old when we first met for our family photography session. And she was simply gorgeous. A year later and she’s grown — and Niam has arrived! Returning to see this family for a Needham newborn photography session was the highlight of my day. Take the time to scroll through this entire session. You won’t be disappointed.read more

You’d think that being about-to-pop pregnant with your fourth child would make a mother frantic and scattered, but that wasn’t the case with this session. The new year has arrived, and if you’re anything like me, you’re walking around full of dreams, aspirations, and goals that you hope will occur in the months ahead.
And if you’re reading this, perhaps a new baby is part of that list.
A big part.
OK, likely the biggest.read more
I can hardly believe I’m already sitting down on the last day of the year (and the decade!) to write my most beloved blog post of the year — the “Best Of” 2019!
This post takes me an exceptionally long time to compile because I spend hours looking back on each and every session, reviewing all
I had the pleasure of meeting Alma, just four weeks old, back in October. Her parents were still glassy-eyed in love with their first child, a feeling that never goes away, right?
Read on to hear about why there is no “must-do” pressure when it comes to timing a newborn photo session and to meet some of Alma’s furry siblings.
I feel your panic.
The holidays are barely two weeks away and you’re scrambling for meaningful gifts for your loved ones. And I’m not talking gives for the kids. They’re probably letting you know exactly what they’re hoping for, right?read more
Because I, too, have three children (the youngest still just four years old), I find that I have a lot in common with many of my clients. While we have different careers or live in different areas of Boston, we’re also somewhere within a 15 year age range of just starting to build a family and sending one (or more) off to college.
One thing we all agree on: Time flies. Fast.read more
The birth of a new baby is so spectacular and life-changing at once. Many clients aren’t sure they’re ready for a newborn session within the early post-birth weeks. Only you can decide what works for your family, but I can assure you that preparing for a newborn session with me is simple. Read on for more ways you can prepare for your newborn session.read more
Home. The place you’ve chosen to spend the most important hours and minutes of your days, with people who matter the most. While I love photographing families outside in the gorgeous seasons we experience in Boston, in-home sessions really are a favorite. Home is where your family becomes, well, a family. Photographing life together – in that home – is perhaps the perfect way to freeze time.read more

Halloween is one of the most fantastic, creative, and (if you ask my kids) exciting days of the year. When it comes to making Halloween costumes, my family gets its hands dirty. Don’t worry, this post isn’t filled with the standard cliches about “the days being long but the years are short.” However, when my oldest turned 13 and my youngest hit preschool the metal pan hit me *smack* on the head. Hard. The cliches – no matter how boring – are correct. Time is flying, and my kids are changing nonstop. So are yours.read more
